Nissan Repair: 99 nissan frontier 4wd, fuel pump relay, nissan frontier

Question
My truck every so often will just quit. If you let it stand for a few minutes it will start, sometimes it takes longer then other. When it quits it will just turns over and won't start. It seems like it's not getting fuel.Could it be the fuel pump and how can you test it.

thanks

Answer
Vernon,

Nissan had a cold start problem where the fuel pump relay would not actuate.  I would replace the relay first.  You could check the fuel pressure to verify that the pump is not producing fuel.  You can rent a pressure gauge at the parts store or purchase one.  The test port is on the intake.
