Nissan Repair: 2002 Nissan Maxima, nissan maxima, combustion chamber

Question
I have a 2002 Maxima and i put gas in it, it ran for like 30 minutes then when i went home for a couple hours and came back to the car and tried to start it, it would not start.  It sounds like it is trying to and blows white smoke out the tailpipe.  It sounds like a backfire and just smokes but will not start at all

Answer
Robert,

The gas you put in the car was gas and not diesel?  If not, pull the plugs and see if any are really clean.  They should be grey or light black and if one is really clean you have a leak into your combustion chamber.  If you said black smoke I would say too rich.  Blue smoke and I would say bad rings and leaking oil into the combustion chamber.  White smoke means a probable headgasket.  Check the plugs and get back with me.
