Nissan Repair: Squeaky Seat, 2007 nissan frontier, squeaky spring

Question
I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier.  It sounds like the driver seat has a squeaky spring in the seat.  I have taken it to the dealer, and of course, they cannot find anything. Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Robbie -

First of all, try to determine what part of the seat is noisy - bottom, top, at the track on the floorboard?

Try spraying some WD40 under the seat to catch all the springs, and along the track, hitting all joints. Squeaking is almost always caused by 2 metal surfaces rubbing against each other, so keep that in mind when you are looking under the seat.

Hope this helps -
