Nissan Repair: Nissan 200sx 1998, nissan 200sx, ball joints

I am hearing a clunking noise mostly when I turn right. Could this be a CV joint?

Hi Leonard -

Could be CV, but also check the following first:

Idler arm
Tie rod ends
Ball joints
strut bushings

Best way to check these is to lift the right wheel off the ground and check side to side play. If there is play, have someone look underneath at the linkage to locate the area where it is loose.
