Is there anything I need to look out for when replaceing a new alternator?

No, most are fine since you are dealing with Toshiba or Nippondenso as replacement parts.  The alternator itself is pretty easy with two bolts and the belt.  Be sure to disconnect the battery first at the negative cable to avoid a spark when replacing the alternator.
