Nissan Repair: Disable Key In Ignition/Door Open Warning Sound, s15 silvia, rtv silicone

Hi there, I just bought an S15 Silvia and it's great but if I have the key in the ignition while the door is open it chimes incessantly! There are many times I do both of these at once, and the warning is no use to me because I always use remote locking. Please, do you know how I can kill it? The chime is not seperate from the body control module.  I have done both RTV silicone squirted into the little grille and have opened up the unit and cut the buzzer wires.  Your choice.  Let is chime and get under the dash and you will find the source and then it is just a matter of one or the other.
