Nissan Repair: 96 Nissan Maxima with Not working Speedo, vehicle speed sensor, nissan maxima

When I start the car OD off light flashes for 5 seconds.
And my speedo is not working.
I would like to know where VSS is located for 96 Maxima?
And also approx. cost for VSS (new or used).

The vehicle speed sensor is on the transmission case close to the driver's side and low on the case.  You are looking at about $40 bucks for a new one.  If a wrecking yard will part with one about $15 as they like to sell the transmission complete.
