Nissan Repair: 2001 Maxima SE turn signal flashing fast, left turn signal, double speed

I have a 2001 Maxima SE and the left turn signal started to flash at double speed. No problems with the right turn. I checked the usual to make sure that all bulbs are working knowing that this has happened before when either the front or back bulb has blown but both are working, just flashing at double speed.

I would replace the bulbs and see if that does the trick.  It is probably the bulb where it plugs into the socket.  Too much resistance and the circuit heats up.  And, as new as the car is there is probably nothing else that can be causing the problem.
