Question

Answer
Giovanni,

First, check to see that the throttle position switch works correctly.  Get a Haynes Manual to get the instructions and resistance values.  If the throttle position switch is working properly check to make sure the minimum air is set for it to idle properly.  There is a big screw on the opposite end of the intake that allows air to enter for idle purposes.  Get the car to idle at something like 650 RPMs.  Check the under hood sticker for the idle to be sure since the 650RPMs I am giving is only from memory.  If both of these are correct and the car is still stalling check the fuel pressure to make sure it is adequate.  Again, a Haynes Manual should give you the fuel pressure value.  If the fuel pressure is correct and the car still stalls check to see if there is oil on the optics on the distributor shutter wheel.  Email me back if you need more.
