Nissan Repair: 2003 Nissan Pathfinder Auto Transmission Issue., nissan pathfinder, auto transmission

Question
A week ago I was on a short road trip, and was pulling away from a tollbooth
when all of a sudden the Tranny seemed to disconnect from the engine. I was
accelerating back up to the freeway speed when at about 40mph all
acceleration ceased. The engine would not rev past about 4000rpm, and the
transmission would not change gear. I pulled over to the side of the freeway,
turned off the engine, and proceeded to pop the hood and look underneath
the car for any signs of leaking fluids. There were none. Also when this
occurred the coolant temp was well within normal boundaries. Since this one
time event I have had no troubles at all with the vehicle. I have been
wondering if maybe this was an electrical Issue with the gearbox. Any input
will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Answer
Maximilian,

Yes, the computer that controls the transmission had a glitch.  Could be a servo going out or the computer itself.  The best thing to do is get it checked on a computer.  Cottman or your dealer could read any stored codes.  Otherwise drive it until it does it again and take it in.
