Nissan Repair: Replace Front Hinges, 1993 Nissan Maxima, nissan maxima, nuts and bolts

Question
Is this an easy thing to do?  Do I need special tools?  Any tips you could give me?  Should I unbolt the door first all the while supporting the door and then unbolt the hinges from frame.  This is the drivers side door.

Answer
nuts and bolts bro.  a good idea is to have the door leaning on something (be careful not to have the weight on the object so it doesnt bend anything on the bottom of the door) so its level while taking the door off so you don't bend anything.  i cant tell you exactly what tools you will need because i haven't worked on a 93 maxima door before but usually they are held on by some bolts or a rod that holds them together.  you may need some sort of punch drive to get them out or any makeshift rod that is slightly smaller than the ones in your car (if it has a rod).  use pb blaster before you start your job.  spray on the bolts and let them soak, its a great product and i posted that in a few questions ago. i highly recommend it.  its a lubricant...kind of like wd40.  good luck and let me know if this helps.  xxp_sebby@yahoo.com
