Nissan Repair: A/T SHIFT LEVER POSTION INDICATOR, nissan altima, position indicator

A/T SHIFT LEVER POSITION INDICATOR ILLUMINATION [ LIGHT ] WENT OFF SUDDENLY ON MY 1997 NISSAN ALTIMA. HOW DO I REPLACE THE BULB IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. THE OTHER LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD ETC WORK FINE. THANKS.

Yes, there is a light that you can replace.  It is an interesting job getting the cluster out to replace the bulbs.  Radio Shack sells the same bulbs for much less since Nissan wants almost $5 bucks a bulb.  Radio Shack sells two for $2 dollars.
