Nissan Repair: my 98 nissan maxima, nissan maxima, radiator fluid

i am plan on getting a Nissan maxima the guy said after running it hot it shut off on him. he had it towed to his house then he let it cool,put water in it and it hasn't started up since then. can you give some advice of what it may be. thank U

I'll need a lot more info than that Daniel to try and guess without being there. You mentioned he added water. Was it out of water and overheated when it quit? Will it start now? If it won't start does the engine crank? Check the oil and the radiator fluid for discoloration or anything that might look odd. Get back to me with as much info as you can, your my eyes here...
