Nissan Repair: no start, crank sensor, nissan sentra

Question
i have a 92 nissan sentra
i was driving the car into work when it just stopped running. tried to restart it would just turn over. pulled valve cover off to check timing chain looks ok.
it will not start, but turns over. checked distributor cap & button, start coil, new plugs,
cleaned distributor with electronics cleaner and even checked the battery to make sure it had proper charge which was good.
my neighbor said something about a crank sensor?
what else would there be? went over everthing in the troubleshooting side of the book and it seems like i have checkout all that is there. hope you can help.

Answer
Hi Aaron,

Well, yeah I guess it could be a crank sensor, but I think it's a bad fuel pump. Could also be a clogged fuel filter. There's a lot of crappy gas out there now a days so you might check that first. Try spraying brake clean into the air intake tube and see if it starts. Disconnect it down at the air box, no need to disassemble the entire air intake system. You mentioned you checked the ignition system, I am assuming you checked for spark? Only two things make an engine run: Spark and Fuel Delivery. Give these a try and resubmit to me what you got after that.
