Nissan Repair: AC Problem, nissan frontier, line leak

Question
My 2000 Nissan Frontier CC has a AC problem. The compressor goes on then off then on then off quickly a few times, sometimes the AC runs fine but it takes a while of driving for it to blow cold. It did have a line leak that was repaired and I thought it was the triple pressure switch which I replaced. But I still have the same problem. The compressor does not stay running long enough for it to cool the car.

Answer
Jack,

It is probably low on R134 since the compressor rapidly cycles and then when the vehicle gets going for a while system pressure builds enough for the compressor to stay on sometimes.  I would check the system pressures and you will find it needs a can or two.
