Nissan Repair: changing cv axles, cv driveshaft, cv axles

Question
How do i change my cv axles on my 2000 nissan altima?

Answer
Emanuel,

You will need to have tools for the job like large sockets to get the nuts off the end of the CV driveshaft and ones to take the strut loose from the spindle.

Now, jack up the car
Take the front wheels off
take the calipers off
hang the caliper on the spring with a coathanger to keep the hoses from hanging
take the nut off the end of the CV driveshaft
take the tie rod end loose
get a prybar screwdriver and pop the CV out of the drivers side of the transmission
On the passenger side get a twelve millimeter wrench and take the bearing loose and remove the the driveshaft.

Get the car aligned after you put it back together.  I would get a Haynes or Clymer manual to air you with photographs.
