Nissan Repair: sentra rear spindle, 280z, wrecking yard

Question
I have a 1999 sentra and I hit a curb with the right rear wheel really hard, I'm think it bent the spindle as the brakes now drag a little. Now the question is how to fix it? I consulted with two shops one says it can be straigtened the other says to replace it, it appears to be wielded on what do you think?

Answer
Keith,

I would source the rear spindle from a wrecking yard or new.  You never want to heat or bend suspension parts or they will break.  I had an ex that hit a curb with my 280Z and the solution was a replacement.  Mine was bent and the brake did drag too.
