Nissan Repair: 2000 Maxima, car care clinic, radiator fluid

Question
I currently own a 2000 Nissan Max.  I purchased the automobile with approx. 39,000 miles on it.  I am up to 108,500.  Thank God the only major repair that I have had involved replacing the cool packs. I keep the oil changed every 3-4K miles.  I want to take it in for service but am not sure as to some of the things I should look for.  For example, does the timing chain need replacing after 100,000 miles, belt or hoses, transmission fluid changed, etc?  I don't want to be ripped off by the dealer.  I was thinking about using a car care clinic.  What is your opinion?

Thanks,

Sean

Answer
Sean,

I have a 2000 Maxima.  At your miles I changed the belts and hoses and changed the radiator fluid.  Also, bleed the brakes with Ford High Performance Brake Fluid.  The timing belt does not need to be done until it starts to make noise so you have another 100K miles to go on that one.  If you are really anal, like me, you could change the power steering fluid too.  Use Nissan fluid for this and do not over fill or under fill.  You cannot change the fuel filter since it is in the tank and is part of the fuel pump assembly.  Wait on that one until the pump or sender goes out.
