Nissan Repair: Whats wrong with my 1996 Nissan 240SX se, nissan 240sx, fuel injection cleaner

I was driving home in my 1996 nissan 240sx SE, and all of a sudden when i pressed the gas the car would not respond. the car would not respond to the gas pedal at all. then all of a sudden it would catch again and start driving. it did this 2-3 times. then i parked the car. An hour later i drove the car again and it stalled twice. both times at a stop light. once when i came to a stop to the light, it stalled. the other time was at the next light. when the light turned green and I took my foot off the brake, it stalled again. I waited about 2 minutes and then when I turned the key, the car would turn, turn, turn then finally catch and rev to life.

i've been through this before. i had the battery replaced and the alternator rebuilt and i have also given the car fuel injection cleaner. that was about 2months ago.


can you please tell what i need to do to fix my car so this does not happen again.

It is either fuel or igintion.  I would check the fuel pressure to see if it has any.  A fuel pump or relay would be the correction if the pressure is low or non existant.  Pull a plug wire and get a paper clip and insert it in the end where it touches the terminal inside.  Now, hold it about a quarter of an inch from the block and have someone turn the key over and see if you have spark.  You see, the two things on your car that usually cause your problem are the fuel pump or the distributor.  Check it out and email me back with the results.
