Nissan Repair: Nissan Primera LX 93 Cold start problems, temperature sensors, nissan primera

Question
Hello! :)
My primera won't start, when its cold (-4 C and below). I have changed air filter, fuel filter and plugs. It works fine when it's warm outside. Could it be that sensor? My car alsow acts wierd when i'm driving. It "jumps" like it's going out of fuel?. This is only the case when the car gets warm, I think when the coldstart system cuts this happends. Could this have something to do with the hard-to-starting thing? :) Greetings from Norway

Answer
Morten,

If your car is equipped with a cold start valve, an extra injector, that is probably the cause of the cold start problem.  If it is not the injector it will be the temperature sensor that sends the signal to the computer that fires the cold start injector.  Now, there are a couple of temperature sensors on the block so do not replace the one for he gauge or the one for the cooling fans.  There is one that sends information to the computer for cold start mode and open loop mode and this is the one that would require a change.
