Nissan Repair: 95 Maxima Front/Passenger side rattling, dirt embankment, wheel bearing

Question
Dear Sudderth,
My 95' Maxima is making a rattling sound. It seems to be coming from my front/passenger side wheel area. The noise is constant wither going slow or fast, turning, or going over bumps. It is less apparent at higher speeds on smooth roads. I believe it started out only being noticeable when I turned but now it is pretty much all the time. I live on a dirt road so I am pretty sure going down it everyday is the cause of it gradually getting worse.
A little history...this car was run off the road into a dirt embankment. It smashed up the front/passenger side enough to flatten the tire and make it non-drivable. It was repaired at a body shop. I don't know if this would relate to the current problem but it seems to be in the same area.
Thank you very much,
Will

Answer
Will,

There are several things that can cause a constant noise.  The first being a CV joint if the boot is damaged.  The second is the strut if it was damaged in the wreck.  The third is the wheel bearing that will be a constant noise if the bearing has a flat spot and lastly, the strut bearing that the strut pivots on.
