Nissan Repair: Heater, nissan altima, prestone

First I'd like to say thanks for all of your help changed the distributor and it works...my girlfriend's 94 nissan altima heats but it takes a long time for it to get hot...would that be the thermostat or something else? Heater core or something like that? Thanks for your help!

If the temperature shows normal and the heater is not putting out hot air then I would look at a plugged heater core.  That is, since you say it does get hot but takes along time.  I would say go to Nissan and get a new thermostat and you should be fine.  Also, get the gasket from them too and then go to the store and get a gallon of Prestone and a gallon of demineralized water.
