Nissan Repair: Xterra wipers, windshield wipers, park position
Question Front windshield wipers do not work. wiper motor runs , wipers
start to move , but then do not. They are not frozen. When
released by hand (not forced) they work. Any help would be
appreciated because it is snowing and raining.
thanks !!

The parking function of the wiper motor is defective. I would replace the motor if an adjustment does not correct the problem. You see, when the wipers get to the park position and the switch is in the off position the contacts are supposed to stop the motor from running the wipers. Also, when the wipers start this park function is supposed to allow the wipers to start. If you have to pull on the wiper arm to get them going the contacts are defective for the electrical connection.
