Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Altima stopping randomly, nissan altima, hose clamps

Question
I have a Nissan Altima with approx 160K miles on it.  For the past week it has been stopping about once a day.  It starts back up every time I try, with varying attempts.  I changed the spark plugs.  I was told it could be the fuel injector (it tends to stop after I accelerate).  Earlier I stated it in my driveway and, when I stepped on the accelerator, it shook slightly.  When it runs, it runs fine.  But when it stops, well, it stops.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Answer
Check the intake hose between the air meter and the throttle body for cracks or loose hose clamps.  If the engine gets unmetered air it will stall.  And, when you say it does it on acceleration that would pull on the hose and if there are cracks they would open up.  I worked on a Stanza and it had the problem.  I bought a new intake hose from the dealer and it cured the problem.  Remember, that this is the large balck hose that connects to the engine, via the throttle body, to the air meter that is just inside of where the filter goes.  You can check the hose visually but there is a chance that the hose could be cracked on the back side.  So, check it carefully.  The way I found this was to start the engine and then wiggle on the hose.  I have also found this problem on a Ford Probe and a Lexus.
