Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Heater/ac module, oldsmobile intrigue, batt cable

Hi there, we have a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue. Recently the Heater/AC Control Module stoped working, occasionaly it would come on but then less and less over time. We bought a brand new module but unfortunately it won't come on either. If you know what the problem might be any help advise would be profoundly appreciated as this is becoming an expensive exercise.

hi ken,well i will have to assume that by not come on you mean the fan will not run.if this is true then i would suspect the heater motor resistor.which is located in the heater box near the fan motor .if this is not the prob please write back ty billymac


Hi again, the fan is fine, the module doesnt come on, no lights, no control, no temp, nothing.  Thanks.

hi ken,ok this changes things.normally what will happen is the plug behind the monitor or control screen.will lose connection where it plugs in remove the screen and unplug the plug and plug it back in try wiggleing the plug tapping on the controller. if no probs here then disconnect neg batt cable for 30 mins and reconnect maybe body puter will reprogram the heater.if this don,t work it will need the help of a DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER,HOPE THIS HELPS PLEASE VOTE FOR ME BILLYMAC
