Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: cruise control gone fishing., custom cruise, inner fender

Question
The cruise control in my 1984 Olds.model custom cruise.S/W,engine size 305.auto. has gone.kaput.
So I wonder if you can help me out to find the problem or refer me to someone who can.
any advice will be appreciated.  John.

hi john .ok you have a cruise switch on coloumn a cruise servo on the inner fender .there is a caBLE from servo to carb a little chain hooked between that and carb.make sure it is hooked up make sure the brake switch is adjusted properly make sure there is vacum at the servo.make sure when you engage the switch the servo powers up ..this i hope will help ty billymac
