Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 2000 Buick electrical., turn signals, light socket

Question
I replaced a turn signal light socket on my Buick. The socket shorted to groung. The tail-lights and park lights no longer work. The turn signals, brake lights, headlights and interior lights work. All the fuses check OK. Are they controlled by the daylight relay ?

Answer
hi herman,no they go through this relay however are controlled bye the head light switch, recheck the fuses read manual and find out exactly which fuse runs the tail lights.if the lights don,t come on when the car is running i would think relay but with eng off and headlights on tail lights should be on.if you are sure about all fuses then turn park lights on and check at the socket you replaced  for 12 volts if power is there then wired wrong if not .other electrical prob.billymac
