Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Buick LeSabre Drive belt, buick lesabre, brake shoes

Question
I have just recently purchased a 97 LeSabre.  The drive belt needs to be changed.  Do you have to remove the motor mount to do so?  Completely or is there some "short-cut?"  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Craig,
I have not personally replaced one, but my father-in-law has one, and in looking at it one day, we could see that it would be necessary.
The belt actually goes around it.
I know of no shortcuts, but the motormounts are replaceable, so it is something that can be done.
I figure a floor jack under the engine would be the most specialized tool needed.
I'd also bet that if you can change a set of brake shoes, you can change the belt.
