Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Possible fuel pump, intake manafold, schrader valve

Thank you for your answer, but in regards to a possible fuel pump. When we changed the fuel filter, we checked and we did get fuel thru the filter, so we assumed the pump was working. Is that not possible? We believe the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. How do I know/check if fuel is going thru the pump. Thank you

hi again robin.yes the pump is in the tank ,however if you are getting fuel through the pump has to be working.but the question is how much fuel pressure do you have.you need 40 psi.there is a schrader valve,located on top of the intake manafold looks like a valve core in a tire.you have to know how much pressure is here to know if pump is working right..but if i am not mistakeing this is the one that would run with line cracked.which indicates low fuel pressure .need to get that pressure checked good luck billymac
