Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: buick century 93, car wont start, buick century

I am having trouble with starting. I drive the car and after parking the car wont start . it turns overbvut wont fire up. after sitting for a few moments it starts up normally. it does not happen all the time. what could be the problem

Hi Michael,
First you need to see if it is because of lack of spark, or lack of fuel.
When you turn the key to run, you should be able to hear the fuel pump in the tank running for about three seconds.
You can check for spark with a spare spark plug, grounded, of course.
Then concentrate on that problem.
