Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Air Conditioner, buick lasabre, compressor clutch

Question
I have a 1990 Buick LaSabre and I bought it with no running air, I was told that it has something to do with the compressor. Its not the freon. I have not taken it to anyone to be looked at, but if you would guess how much should it cost me if it was the worst senerio and everything need replaced?

I am in Columbus, OH if that helps.

Answer
Hi Rita,
I would just guess that the compressor clutch isn't working, which could be fixed for around a hundred or less. But worst case would be a compressor, and drier. Parts and labor could run as high as 5 hundred or so. But without someone actually looking at it, these are just wild guesses.
Good luck,
Van
