Pontiac Repair: Flashers

Hi Todd,

I have a 1995 Grand Am 3.1 L .
The hazard flashers will flash a couple times real slowly then stop. I assume its the flasher but I cannot for the life of me find the thing. The turn signals work fine and that flasher is audible but I still cannot locate that one either.
Is there a separate 4 way flasher and if so, where is it located?
And where is the turn signal flasher just so I know for the future?

Hi Joe:
that has 2 separate flashers they are in the same general area under the steering column. they look the same as well a metal can about the size of a half dollar. take the trim down and then activate the flasher it will be louder when the trim panel is off and it will make it easier to find.  they have a trade # on them like a 323 or 424 flasher if you goto a big box auto parts store they usually have them out hanging on a hook just match the trade # stamped on it and your goof to go.
