Pontiac Repair: pressure in oil case, oil filler cap, pcv system

hello
i have a pontiac vibe 2006  runs great. just changed oil and notice when pulling drain plug and even filter, it seemed under pressure.. when adding new oil, i left filler cap off and started the motor to get things circulated and notice that there was a fluttering pressure comming from the hole where cap goes. is all this normal for this vehicle? got 4oo mile trip to do in morning!

yes if you run it with the oil filler cap you will have some pressure in the crank case that is what the breather and PCV system are for on engines. slight pressure is normal if it had excessve pressure you would more then likley have multiple oiil leaks. The more miles ther are on the engine the more likley you will have more pressure in the crank case. Have a good trip
