Pontiac Repair: 00 Grand Prix A/C nor Windows works, fuse box, ash tray

Question
I have a 2000 Grand Prix V6 3.8 engine. One day I got in the car with my children and hooked up the dvd players for my kids in the ash tray. Then the radio cuts off and the windows won't roll down. I have replaced the fuse (60) from under the hood but it blows every time I replace it. Also the Headlights, A/C, Windows and the button that pops the trunk now won't work. The park lights, door locks, inside lights all gauges still work. Help!!! I don't know what the problem is. I have replaced a relay thing but it still doesn't work.

Answer
Hi there:

well you hve a couple of things going on here that make sence and a few that do not. part of the things that do not waork are retained accy power things and some are not. check the fuse box behind the glove box and look for the "rap" fuse and se if that is blown. the radio and windows are related. The HVAC doesn't make sense unless the blower motor quit or the resistor burned up for the speed control. The other fuses to look at in the same box as the Rap fuse are int lamp, pwr lock, i/p ign, Mall. good luck :-}
