Pontiac Repair: 96 pontiac firebird, pontiac firebird, car distributors

brand new engine...on my fourth distributor and engine is getting spark and fuel and will not turn over.   Security light is on but has been for over a year since I bought the car.  Any ideas?

Hi Scott:

if it will not crank how do you know it has spark and fuel? If the engine will not crank and the secuirty lamp is on or is flashing the most likley cuase is broken wires going to the pass key lock cylinder. VERY common on that car. Distributors are common on that LT1 engine as well it's a very poor design and if the water pump leaks it ruins the distributor.
