Pontiac Repair: stalling out, engine oil pressure, low oil pressure

my 97 sunfire has started to stall out on me when im turning right and slowing down, my oil light will come on when i'm reveiing under 1 rpm when the heat sensor is at the half way mark, the oil light has been coming on since i got the car feb 2010. i have one friend who says that it could be my tranny going cuz i sometimes i have problems getting into second gear sometimes also another friend who said it could be my oil pump causing it to stall

the oil light comming on and the stall may not be related. I would have the il light looked at first. the engine could be worn out and that is cauing low oil pressure. a mechanical gauge needs to be put on the engine when it's hot and see what the engine oil pressure is. if it's low the engine need to be repaired. worn parts will cause the low oil pressure. as for the stall I would have the throttle playe and Idle control motor cleaned a carbon build up on those parts will cause a stall condition especially in parking lot type of turns low speed. does it happen with a full tank of fuel as well or just when the tank is low? as for the transmission is this a 3 speed or 4 speed? when it does stall out doe the engine shake bad like driving a manual tranmission and you forget to depress the clutch at a stop?
