Answer
Hi Chris:

Sounds like something in the radio went bad. The "calibat" message shouldn't come on ever on that radio. When the radio is replaced in a car that is the only time that should come on. In order to turn that message off the radio needs to be "calibated" with a hand held scan tool calibating the rdaio tels the radio what model car and what speaker/amplifier options the car has that the radi is in. Maybe for some odd reason the claibation memory was wiped out in the radio when the battery was changed but that NEVER happens. the only way to get this fixed is either at a dealer or an authorized AC delco repair shop. any then there is no guarantee that it's going to take a re calibartion. good luck :)
