Question
I have recently put front and back brakes on my car however the abs light is on and the emergency brake light my traction control wont work nor will my cruise control and its still making a noise coming from the rear that sounds like brakes rubbing but thats not it any ideas?

Answer
Hi Ashley:

I think you have a few issues here. The abs lamp and traction control lamps are more than likely cause by a bad wheel speed sensor aor wheel speed sensor harness. The red warning lamp can be cause by low brake fluid oe the parking brak switch being bad. As for the noise it can be for a lot of things. If this have drum brakes in the rear they tend to be noisey the first few stops in the am when it's damp out. If you used aftermarket parts or semi-metalic pads/shoes they tend to be noisey on the first few stops and when VERY hot after driving for a while. Asd for the cruise control that is a whole different issue. The cruis on this cra is electronically controlled and the engine computre monitors the sstem opertaion ther could be a engine control fault and it will inhibit the cruise operation. You could have a mis adjusted brake lamp switch or even the cruise button on the steering wheel could be bad It's hard to sat what the issue is with that without seeing it.. Good luck :)
