Pontiac Repair: seat heater control module, pontiac grand prix, grand prix 3

Question
I have a 01 Pontiac Grand Prix, 3.8l V6. I have a drivers side only heated seat that works when i initially turn it on to either high or low but then goes out. I have tried to reset it and turn it on, but to no avail. Would it be the seat heater control module or do i have a problem with the elements in the seat (broken element)?

well it can be either or what you have to do is turn it on and see if you loosing power to the elements. ther is on on the back and the cushion there are 2 wires going to each element. check to see if you have power nad ground to the elements when it's turned on. if you have power to them and the ehater is not working it's the element(s). if no it can be the control module or the temp sensor in the seat back. That is not service seperatly it's part of the back element. Good luck :)
