Pontiac Repair: anti-theft, whant, security system

i got a new ignition lock housing but the anti-theft doesnt whant to turen off and the car will die after a few seconds?

Hi Jaime:

You have to learn the new lock housing to the car. disconncect the battery and and let it sit for a few minutes. reconnect the battery. start the car and let it stall out. The theft or security system lamp will flash or stay on steady for 10 minutes when it stops flashing or goes out then turn the ignition off for 30 seconds and then try to restart the car it should start and run then as long as nothing else is wrong with the car.
