Pontiac Repair: Blower Fan Switch, pontiac grand am, fan blower

Hi Todd, thanks for being here for suggestions. I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am, with a V-6. I am having problems with my fan blower or switch. My switch has speeds 1 – 5 and it is only working on 4 and 5. Speeds 1 – 3 will not work. I think I have checked all the fuses and need some suggestions on where or what to look at. This has me puzzled.

Hey Robert:

simple fix. The blower resistor is burnt up on this car. before you know it all 5 speeds will be inop. it's mounted to the bottom of the heater box with 2 screws under the glove box. remove the hush panel under the dash and it's right there next to the motor. good luck :}
