Pontiac Repair: 1995 Pontiac Bonneville ABS brakes, pontiac bonneville, abs brakes

Question
Hello.  I have a '95 Bonneville SE with 150K miles.  Within the past few days, the Anti-Lock brake light has come on, and stayed on.  A couple of times, when it has come on, the brake pedal suddenly jumped.  Other than that, the car stopped fine.

I checked the manual and it stated that I still have regualar brakes or course, but no anti-lock brakes.

My question is, how quickly should I have this checked out?  Like I said, the car stops fine, granted I haven't had to slam on the brakes for any reason.  Also, what can I expect to pay to get this potential problem corrected?

Thanks!

Answer
the light on the dash tell you there is a problem with the anti lock system . it might be a wheel speed sensor on that unit. but never less yes you have regular brakes but its your choise to have it checked or not, your antilock brakes will be disabled until its fixxed ,,, drive carefull
