4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: Air Conditioning, model jeep, vacuum lines

My buddy and I both have 97 wranglers and we both have the same problem.  The air conditioning does not come out of the front ducts only the defrost ducts.  What to do?

Sounds like a bad vacuum line, or one that has not been located correctly, that links the controls to the venting panels.  I suggest to most of the people that I talk to that they purchase a repair manual (around $20) for their model Jeep.  These manuals give step by step instructions on most repairs, along with diagrams of most controls, such as the vacuum lines, and switches.  These manuals can come in handy for future trouble shooting.  They can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
