RV Repair: Dometic Refrigerator, model rm, dometic refrigerator

Question
Hi. I have a Dometic Refrigerator Model #RM 2193.  It is supposed to work off Propane, 110V, or 12V.  Mine works fine if I have the 12V DC switch on and the camper is level.  How long will my refrigerator cool on a typical battery charge?  I can't seem to get it to work in either 110V or Propane, however.  I suspect that the Propane can work if I can bleed the air out of the gas line and the thermocouple works. Still working on that through the process of elimination.  What about the 110V?  I know that 110V is being supplied at the plug outlet. The only other thing I see in the unit is a switch for the 110V.  Is that the only thing in the 110V circuit that can prevent it from working?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Jeff
I don't recommend the use of 12vdc for powering the refer ,it uses way too much energy and call kill a battery in a short few hours.
The 110vac heater should just switch on at the control panel then wait for the cooling to begin. The best way to run the unit is on gas. Sometimes the gas burner can get dirty and be hard to light or not light at all. Using compressed air you can blow out the soot build up and it should start easier.
But there are other reasons why it might not work. But it would require further testing.
