RV Repair: tsoard@aol.com, gas valve, electrical wire

Question
My 1982 Mini Winnie Atwood water heater stopped burning a nice jet out of the burner and now produces a long lazy flame that licks its way thru the heater tube and heats the area surrounding the access door and leaves soot up the outside of the motorhome. What do you suggest?

Answer
Hi tom
What you have there is a spider living in the pre-mix tube for your water heater. Thats the round L-shaped tube that carries the lpg and air from the gas valve to the burner.
Turn off your water heater and take a piece of electrical   wire about 12 inches long and run it i, do it again.
Spiders love those little caves and the smell of propane. Funny huh?
