RV Repair: dometic rm2611 2 way fridge, freezer compartment, thermostat

i have an rv with a dometic rm2611 2 way fridge in it and it keeps freezing everyting. i have replace the thermoster, but not the main board. it seems to run ok for about 3 days then it freezes up, on setting of 3 or more. after it froze the last time i moved the setting to 1 and then the fridge seems to be working again, any help would be appreciated, would changing the main board be required or change the temperature setting board above the fridge?

Hi Kevin:
You have either a bad thermostat or a bad board. First thing to do is to make sure that the thermostat is located right in the cooling coils in the freezer compartment. If that looks ok then I would change the thermostat again since it costs much less than the board. If it still freezes everything change the board. Make sure that the two wire plug from the thermostat is conected properly to the board. Good luck.
