RV Repair: power to the pole, amp breaker, mystery box

Question
I bought a piece of land and had temp electrical service put in and I ran my air conditioner for about 5 hours then tried to turn on the fridge and that popped the 30 amp breaker on the pole then was able to turn off the fridge and run air for a while longer but the breaker keeps tripping. I'm new to camping but I troubleshoot computer problems for a living and it seems like something wrong with the converter (ac to dc). the mystery box under the trailers 6 switch breaker box was pretty warm and the fan never kicked on. the lights still worked fine under battery power. Is it possible to replace the mystery box/assembly and if so where can I get parts? I have a 92 Dutchmen 32'.

Answer
Hi Steve:
It probably takes all of the 30 amps just to run the airconditioner. The fridge draws another 10 or so and you are overloading the 30 amp breaker. The converter is running your dc and it will  warm when it is working. There should be a fan running in there when it works hard. You neeed to have the air conditioner on it's own breaker, 30 amp at least, and another circuit for other AC stuff, maybe 2 or 3. You just do not have enough capacity on the pole. Also if the wire is sized for the 30 amp from the pole it is not near large enough. You need at lest #6 or even larger.
