RV Repair: slideout unit, hardwood flooring, fifth wheel

Question
i have a 1986 teton fifth wheel. The slideout on this unit has the flooring out and the question that i have is how would i repair this unit. Looks like it has got wet from weather and the previous owner has took the floor out. Im thinking i need to take the slide unit out of this unit. Is this correct?

Answer
I'm not sure whether you mean the complete floor is gone, or this trailer has a hardwood floor that was damaged by water leakage. If the complete floor is gone, the easiest way would be to take the slideout out and set it on its side to re-floor it. If it is just hardwood flooring that needs to be replaced, then you can do it with the slideout in. Just make sure that you find the cause of the leak.
