RV Repair: RV Slideout Repair, liquid nails, small plates

Question
The side walls on my slideout are sagging down at the inside end.  The right side has been a problem for several years.  I put a 1/2" board under the roller and moved the slideout half way out to get a better look. The wall drooped down and touched the RV floor.  Looks like the floor of the slideout is bowed due to the weight of the walls (maybe it got wet at some point).  I am thinking about installing a 1/4" steel plate between the roller and the slideout floor extending from the edge at the wall to ~6" past the roller. I am thinking of gluing the plate with liquid nails and using screws as long as possible without going through the slideout floor.  What are your thoughts on preventing the slideout walls from sagging?

Answer
I would investigate the sub structure and frame as well so that it wont collapse when the added weight is mounted to the floor, It sounds as though you are on the right track. You may want to use bolts instead of screws and mount small plates underneath for the heads of the bolts. The only thing I would be concerned with is the added weight to one side of the trailer, if it is that much.
