RV Repair: Slide out on Trailer, plungers, knowing what type

Gerald, we were in texas for 2 weeks, when I went to leave the slide out would only slide in on the right side. I had to push the left side in. when I try to take it out it just goes out on the right. what could be wrong?

If your slide out is electric then you may have a bad motor or connection in the mechanism, to check this you can check the voltage at the motors or supply a different power source such as an extra battery to power the motor and find out if the motor is bad or not.
If the system is hydraulic then you will have a set of plungers that look like big shocks or a scissor mechanism with shocks, you may have a bad plunger or a leak in the hydraulics. Without knowing what type of system you have we cant trouble shoot. Take a look and see if you have elect or hydraulic and then we can go from there.
